Samurai Sword Shocker on High Street
A terrifying attack unfolded just before midnight on Tuesday, June 29, at the junction of Cross and Pillary Lane and High Street. A 23-year-old man was walking along Cross and Pillary Lane when a stranger jumped out of a red car and confronted him.
Assault Turns Deadly With Sword Threat
After a brief exchange, the suspect launched an assault on the victim. When the victim tried to flee, the attacker returned to his car, brandished what’s believed to be a samurai sword, and threatened him with it. Luckily, the victim managed to escape and took refuge in a nearby kebab shop.
Police Hunting Blonde Teen with Samurai Sword
- Suspect described as a white male, around 16 years old
- Height about 5ft 11ins, slim build
- Blond curly hair
- Was seen driving a small red car
Officers are appealing to the public for help. If you were near Cross and Pillary Lane around 11.30pm on Tuesday or have dash cam footage of a small red car in the area, police want to hear from you.
