Combine Harvester Blaze Sparks Fiery Scare in Crop Fields
Inferno Erupts on Arrival
The combine harvester was already well alight when firefighters arrived. Flames quickly spread to nearby crop fields, forcing crews to call in backup.
Reinforcements Race to Scene
Additional help came from Andover Fire Station’s water carrier and a fire engine from Fordingbridge Fire Station. Sadly, the harvester was lost to the blaze.
Heroes Stop Fire Spreading
Thanks to the firefighters’ swift action, the flames didn’t engulf much more of the crops. Meanwhile, Tisbury Fire Station covered Salisbury during the emergency.
