Kent Police have charged Umit Tutal, 24, from Gillingham, after a major county lines drug investigation uncovered class A substances and a weapon. Arrested on Thursday 23 April 2026, Tutal faces multiple charges related to drug possession and supply linked to a Medway town drug line.
County Lines Operation Uncovered
Police began their investigation after receiving intelligence tying a phone number to a drug line operating in Medway. A search of an address connected to the number discovered large quantities of class A drugs, including cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin, alongside cannabis, £5,000 cash, and a bladed weapon.
Man Arrested And Charged
Tutal was arrested at his Balmoral Road residence and subsequently charged with possession with intent to supply multiple controlled drugs, possession of cannabis, possession of criminal property, and possession of an offensive weapon.
Court Appearances Scheduled
He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 24 April where he was remanded in custody. Tutal is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday 22 May.
