Police continue their hunt for Alice Byrne, last seen on the morning of Saturday, 1 January, in the Portobello area.

Community Rallies as Police Probe Deepens

Chief Inspector Kieran Dougal praised local support but warned against uncoordinated search efforts. “The local community has been keen to support our ongoing enquiry to trace Alice. Today we are continuing to carry out enquiries, review CCTV footage from the local area and use our specialist resources to search for her,” he said.

He urged the public: “Thank you for your continued support. We have had offers of help with searches, but it’s vital people don’t put themselves in danger or disrupt official operations. Please keep sharing our appeals and report any tips.”

Alice was last seen wearing a black top, black jeans ripped at the knees, and white trainers. Authorities have released CCTV stills to aid identification.
