Train Creep Jailed for Staring and Blocking Woman’s Escape
Dominik Bullock, 26, from Spurcroft Road, Thatcham, has been locked up for 22 weeks after terrifying a woman on a train. The Reading Magistrates’ Court convicted him of causing intentional harassment, alarm, or distress under the Public Order Act.
Stare Down on the Train
On Saturday 5 March at 1.45pm, Bullock sat next to the victim and stared at her intensely. Despite her repeated requests for him to stop, he refused. When she asked him to move so she could leave, he blocked her path and said she’d have to climb over him—spreading his legs in the process.
Visibly upset, the woman kept asking Bullock to move. Other passengers backed her up, calling on Bullock to shift. The victim even rang the police, but he stayed put, showing no emotion.
Police Step In After Train Manager Removes Bully
The train manager stepped in, ejecting Bullock from the carriage at Thatcham. He was later identified via CCTV and arrested by Thames Valley Police on Wednesday 9 March.
BTP Sergeant Issues Warning to Public
BTP Sergeant Charlotte Collins said: “Bullock’s persistent and distressing actions show he is a danger to women and girls. I’m pleased he was found in just five days and sent straight back to prison, thanks to Thames Valley Police.
No one should feel scared or uncomfortable while travelling. We are dedicated to making women feel safer on the network. I commend the victim for her bravery in reporting this incident.
I urge anyone who witnesses or experiences sexual harassment on the railway to report it by texting 61016. In an emergency, always dial 999.”
