Nine campaigners from Take Back Power are charged with criminal damage after wild protests at iconic London landmarks.
Manure Mayhem at The Ritz
On 3 December 2025, protesters doused The Ritz in Piccadilly with manure, sparking outrage. Four activists have been charged:
- Ellen Redwood-Brown, 23, Bristol
- Tom Barber, 66, Nottingham
- Toby Ellwood, 21, Leeds
- Tjalle Rumley, 26, Acton
Redwood-Brown and Barber face Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 20 April. Ellwood and Rumley will appear there on Wednesday, 29 April.
Crumble and Custard Chaos at the Tower
On 6 December 2025, another gang threw crumble and custard at the crown jewels in a bizarre stunt. Four suspects have been charged:
- Fatima Ali, 19, Tower Hamlets
- Miriam Cranch, 22, Leeds
- Mack Preston, 22, Tower Hamlets
- Matthew Cooper, 50, Bath
They are due at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 27 April.
Shoplifting Charge Hits Plymouth Man
In a separate incident, 66-year-old David Kilroy from Plymouth faces theft charges over an organised shoplifting raid at a Lewisham Sainsbury’s on 14 March 2026. Kilroy will appear at Bexley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 29 April.
