This evening, emergency services including the police and ambulances, as well as the air ambulance, responded to an incident at the Lidl in Horsham.
Following the stabbing incident, emergency services were called to the Lidl supermarket, which has since remained closed for the remainder of the evening.
Observers at the scene saw the young man or woman being led away to an ambulance not far away. One person has been taken into custody by officers from Sussex Police and an investigation has been opened.
According to a spokesman for Sussex Police, Officers were called to the Foundry Retail Park in Horsham at approximately 7:10 p.m. on Tuesday (June 7), after receiving reports of a stabbing there.
When officers arrived, they quickly discovered a man who was injured and needed medical attention.
His injuries are serious, but they are not considered to be life-threatening or life-altering at this time. Paramedics have taken him to the hospital.
It is believed that this was an isolated incident, and there is no danger to the larger community as a result.
