Kent Police Crack Down on Mayfair Girls Escort Agency

Kent Police launched a major probe after thousands of business cards for the Mayfair Girls escort agency were found at a man’s home in Kings Hill back in July 2017.

Online Front for Organised Prostitution

Investigations revealed the agency was actually a cover for organised prostitution. The men running the racket took a hefty 30% cut from every booking. Despite sex workers applying to join, no checks were made on their age or welfare, including whether they were being exploited or controlled by others.

Four Men Plead Guilty, Sentenced

  • Satvinder Kandola, James DeGiorgio, Luke Wotton, and a fourth man admitted to conspiracy to control prostitution for financial gain.
  • Kandola was locked up for two-and-a-half years in summer 2022.
  • The others received suspended sentences.

Cash and Gold Confiscated as Police Target Profits

Kent Police’s Proceeds of Crime Team cracked down on the criminals’ earnings. At Woolwich Crown Court, confiscation orders demanded the offenders repay millions or face more jail time.

  • Satvinder Kandola, 41, from Kings Hill, caught with £68,000 cash and a 1kg gold bar worth £51,000, ordered to repay £124,773 within three months or face an extra two years behind bars.
  • James DeGiorgio, 39, from Swanscombe, must pay back £79,447 within three months or face 18 months in jail.
  • Luke Wotton, 32, also from Swanscombe, faces paying £42,600 within three months or serve a year in custody.

Detective Inspector David Godfrey said: “The men involved in this prostitution ring made vast sums of money from the sex workers they advertised, sparing little to no thought for who they were or how vulnerable they may have been. They provided a faceless platform for sexual exploitation that could have placed many women and girls at great risk.”

“Our financial investigators go to great lengths to ensure offenders cannot continue to reap the rewards of their ill-gotten gains, and the value of the confiscation orders secured in this case represents yet another significant achievement for the Proceeds of Crime Team.”
