A depraved predator who aimed to infect young men and teenage boys with HIV has been locked up for life. Adam Hall, 43, from Washington near Sunderland, was sentenced to life behind bars with a minimum of 23 years for a terrifying campaign of rape and sexual violence.
Dangerous Monster Targeted Vulnerable Victims
Hall preyed on seven victims — including two teenage boys aged 15 and 17 — in Newcastle between 2016 and 2023. Four were brutally raped. The court branded him “dangerous” and “selfish” after he was found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm. Prosecutor Kama Melly KC told Newcastle Crown Court Hall’s attacks were a calculated “campaign of rape” aimed at spreading HIV. His sinister goal was to inflict “pain and harm” on vulnerable young men he met online or in bars.
Victims Traumatised for Life
Judge Edward Bindloss condemned Hall’s “profound selfishness,” declaring he had stolen the futures of his victims. Survivors described feeling “violated” and now suffer ongoing physical and psychological trauma. Hall refused to leave his prison cell for sentencing, showing no remorse.
More Victims Come Forward
Northumbria Police revealed that additional suspected victims have since stepped forward. A separate investigation is now underway as authorities urge others to come forward.
