Fatal Smash Shakes Hackney Streets
Police are hunting for witnesses after a fatal crash in Hackney on Sunday afternoon. The horror unfolded at 1.37pm at the junction of Amhurst Road and Bodney Road when a car collided with a motorcycle.
Two Women Injured, One Dies at Hospital
Emergency crews rushed to the scene, finding a female motorbike rider and her female pillion passenger injured. Both were treated at the scene and then taken to hospital.
Tragically, the 34-year-old rider died soon after arriving at hospital. Her 30-year-old passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover.
No Arrests But Driver Cooperating
The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is fully cooperating with officers. No arrests have been made so far.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command want anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward urgently.
