Firefighters were called to a car fire in Ramsgate on Sunday evening.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to Church Avenue at around 7.40pm on Sunday, October 4, following reports of a vehicle alight.

One fire engine was sent to the scene.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a high-pressure hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.

The incident was brought under control by around 8.09pm.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
