Youngest UK EuroMillions Winner Jane Park Devastated After Ex-Boyfriend Marc Webley’s Fatal Shooting on Hogmanay

Tragedy struck during the Hogmanay celebrations in Edinburgh as Marc Webley, a 36-year-old with a criminal past, was shot dead outside the Anchor Inn pub. Webley, who had recently split from his high-profile ex-girlfriend, EuroMillions lottery winner Jane Park, was killed while partying with friends just before midnight. The incident has left the community in shock, and police are now on the hunt for the gunman responsible.

Webley, known for his association with gangs and carrying weapons, had reportedly confided in close friends that he anticipated an attack. Miss Jane Park, who gained fame by winning £1 million in 2013 at the age of 17, had been in a relationship with Webley until last month. She expressed her grief on Instagram, sharing a photo of them and stating that she had spoken to him just the day before.

In her heartfelt tribute, Jane Park wrote, “I can’t believe I’m writing this. We spoke yesterday. If I could cuddle you again and tell you everything is going to be OK, I would give anything to do it, Marc. The months we spent together, you taught me some valuable things in life, and I’ll never forget you. I am devastated. The best bed for you is up there, My Handsome.”

Previously, Park had been sharing pictures of their relationship on social media, but she stopped posting a few weeks ago. Webley’s older brother, Don, posted a photo of him on Facebook, and friends offered their condolences, including Miss Park, who posted a heart emoji.

One source from the gangland scene speculated that there could be repercussions following Webley’s death, saying, “Don posted on his Facebook that Marc went the day he wanted, the way he wanted and then laid down the gauntlet by saying ‘come and get it.’ There’s going to be wars in the city if Marc has been murdered.

According to another source, Webley had been involved in a dispute with a well-known figure from the south of Edinburgh, and threats had been exchanged between the two parties. Webley left the Anchor Inn just before the New Year’s Eve bells and was shot outside the pub, where he was a regular.

The source indicated that Webley was hit in the neck and head and died at the scene. Another man was also shot and is currently fighting for his life in the hospital. The police promptly sealed off the area around the pub after receiving reports of gunshots from residents.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland stated, “Road closures are in place on Granton Road and Granton Crescent following an incident which was reported to police around 11.50pm on Sunday, December 31. Officers are at the scene, and closures will remain in place while enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances.”

Webley had a history of criminal activities, including previous convictions for attempted murder and association with gangland violence. In 2006, he was sentenced to 11 years in prison for his involvement in a gangland-style ambush on a motorbike, in which he shot the victim multiple times.

Jane Park, on the other hand, gained notoriety as Britain’s youngest EuroMillions winner in 2013, when she was just 17 years old. Despite her initial purchases of luxury items, she later returned to a more modest lifestyle and recently gained popularity on OnlyFans, where she claimed to have made a substantial income from selling topless photographs of herself.

As the investigation into Marc Webley’s tragic shooting continues, the community mourns the loss of a man whose life was marked by controversy and criminal activities
