Teen Gang Targets Girl in Broad Daylight at Rainbow Park
Girl Intimidated and Robbed by Teens
A young girl was playing at Rainbow Park off Fort Street late Monday afternoon when a gang of 13 to 16-year-olds confronted her. The group intimidated the child before snatching her phone in a brazen robbery.
Perpetrators Vanish Before Father Arrives
The robbery happened around 5:15pm. By the time the girl’s father was alerted and rushed to the scene, the teens had already disappeared.
Damaged Phone Found Nearby
The stolen phone was later discovered smashed to pieces and discarded close to the park. A local dog walker stumbled upon the wreckage and reported it.
Police Involved
Authorities have been informed and are investigating the incident.
