Avon & Somerset Police have launched a public appeal to trace two men linked to a savage assault in Bristol city centre.

Violent Attack on Union Street

Officers were called to Union Street at around 9.50pm on Saturday, 31 January, after multiple 999 calls reported a violent fight. Two men in their mid-thirties were viciously beaten—punched, and kicked while lying on the ground.

One victim was knocked unconscious and suffered a broken collarbone. He remains in hospital receiving ongoing treatment. The other was discharged and is recovering at home.

Who Are These Men?

Police have released images of two suspects they want to question, believing they hold vital information.

  • Suspect 1: Asian, black hair, black beard. Wearing a long black wet-look puffer jacket, black trousers, and black shoes.
  • Suspect 2: Asian, short black hair, short beard. Wearing a grey T-shirt, a grey coat with a black collar, grey jeans, and white and black trainers.

The attackers reportedly fled in a silver Mercedes C-Class and on foot towards Castle Park.
