Four fire engines and 25 firefighters raced to a flat fire on Kidderminster Road, Croydon today. Flames tore through part of a second-floor flat above a shop, but luckily, no one was hurt.

Rapid Response Quells Flames Fast

The London Fire Brigade got the alert at 3:03pm and had the blaze under control by 3:57pm. Teams from Norbury, Wallington, and Mitcham fire stations worked swiftly to contain the fire.

The London Fire Brigade and Metropolitan Police are now probing what sparked the dangerous fire. An investigation is underway to get to the bottom of the blaze.
