A three-year-old boy was left with a broken leg after darting into the path of a car in Swindon on Sunday afternoon.
Crash on Cricklade Road
The collision happened just before 4.15pm near the Edinburgh Street junction. Emergency services rushed to the scene when the youngster was struck by the vehicle.
Child Rushed to Hospital
The toddler was quickly taken to hospital for urgent treatment. Police kept Cricklade Road closed for around four hours while assessing the boy’s injuries. Thankfully, the damage is not life-changing, and the road reopened by 8.30pm.
Driver Stopped and No Arrests
Wiltshire Police confirmed the driver stayed at the scene and no arrests were made. It’s understood the child suddenly ran into the road, leaving the driver no time to brake.
