Police Nab Two Drug Dealers Riding Illegal E-Bikes in Melksham

Two balaclava-clad drug dealers causing havoc on illegal e-bikes in Melksham have finally been caught – all thanks to a sharp-eyed police drone unit. After a flood of complaints about dangerous riders terrorising the town, Wiltshire Police launched a full-scale crackdown.

Drone Unit Targets Anti-Social E-Bike Riders

Acting on solid intelligence and backed by officers from nearby Trowbridge, Melksham cops went after two suspects seen tearing through the streets on Sur-Ron electric bikes. These powerful machines are known for stunts and reckless riding that had locals on edge.

The duo was promptly arrested for dangerous driving and possession of class B drugs. But police quickly turned up the heat.

Drug Supply Ring Busted in Follow-Up Raid

Officers raided a nearby address linked to the riders, uncovering evidence of a wider drug supply operation. The occupant was arrested for possession with intent to supply, and the two e-bike riders were slapped with the same charge.

All three suspects have been released on bail, while the seized Sur-Ron e-bikes face destruction – sending a loud warning to anyone thinking of causing trouble on dangerous, illegal machines.

Zero Tolerance on Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour

“Thank you to the Melksham community for supplying us with the information required to catch these criminals,” said Sgt Gemma Rutter.“The public are fed up of seeing these bikes being ridden dangerously and unlawfully and we will ensure we maintain our momentum on bringing them to justice.“We do not want drugs on our streets or the dangerous activities and ASB that is so intrinsically linked to drugs.”
