Detectives have made a fourth arrest in connection with a fire that broke out in Canterbury city centre earlier this week.
Kent Police were called to assist firefighters at a property on Guildhall Street at around 8:45 p.m. on Monday, 2 December 2024. The blaze prompted road closures and the evacuation of some nearby residents while emergency services worked to extinguish the fire.
Latest Arrest
On Friday, 6 December, officers arrested a 16-year-old boy from Canterbury on suspicion of arson. He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Ongoing Investigation
This arrest follows the earlier detention of a 12-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy, both taken into custody on suspicion of arson on 4 and 3 December, respectively. Both have also been released on bail as enquiries continue.
