Gosport lifeboat scrambled to family in up turned Speedboat in Portsmouth

The Gosport and Fareham in shore rescue lifeboat and the a team from the UK coastguard stationed at Portsmouth have been scrambled to an upturned speed boat this lunchtime. Rescue crews were mobilised just after 1pm on Sunday near to the Royal museum jetty in Portsmouth. It is understood that the speedboat with a family onboard was hit by waves and overturned. The boat was righted but has taken on water. Crew from the Gosport lifeboat have taken the boat under tow to meet with coastguard team from Portsmouth.
