Husband Pays Heartbreaking Tribute to ‘Beautiful’ Wife Killed in Golf Club Collision

 

A grieving husband has paid an emotional tribute to his “beautiful” wife, Suzanne Cherry, who tragically died after being struck by a van at Aston Wood Golf Club in Shenstone.

The incident occurred on 11 April, with Suzanne, aged 62 and from Aldridge, rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Despite the efforts of medics, she sadly passed away on 15 April.

Her devastated husband, who witnessed the collision, said:

“I watched in helpless horror as the life of my beautiful wife and our future together was snatched away in an instant.”

He described Suzanne as a woman with “an amazing and infectious zest for life,” adding:

“She was unselfish to the core, always encouraging others to do better and believe they could achieve more than they ever imagined.”

Suzanne leaves behind her mother, children, stepchildren, and many loved ones whose lives were deeply touched by her kindness and unwavering support.

Police Investigation Underway

West Midlands Police have confirmed that six people have been arrested in connection with the incident. The nature of the incident is still under investigation, and detectives are continuing to gather evidence.

A spokesperson for the force said:

“Our thoughts remain with Suzanne’s family and loved ones at this devastating time. We are working to establish the full circumstances of what happened.”
