A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a woman in Kirkby, Merseyside on Friday night. The victim, a woman in her 70s, was found unresponsive inside a home on denver/">Denver Road just before 11.30pm. Despite the efforts of paramedics, she was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her next of kin has been informed, and a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
A 78-year-old man from Kirkby has been taken into custody on suspicion of murder. However, he has now been detained under the Mental Health Act, indicating a potential mental health condition.
