Officers are on the lookout for a hit-and-run driver after a young child was struck by a car in a quiet Swindon neighbourhood.
Child Hit on Beaulieu Close
The crash happened just before noon on Saturday, 18 October, on Beaulieu Close in Toothill. The child was hit around 11:30am in the usually peaceful residential street.
Driver Stops But Leaves Without Leaving Details
Police say the driver did pull over briefly and spoke to the child’s family at the scene but shockingly left without giving their contact information.
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said:
“At approximately 11.30am on Saturday (18/10), a child was hit by a vehicle in Beaulieu Close, Toothill. The driver did initially stop and speak to the young child’s family, however, did not leave any details. We are keen to speak to the driver or anyone who witnessed the incident.”
