Ripley villiage in Locked down following Police incident
A Surrey village remains is in lockdown following attempted theft of an ATM on Tuesday night.
A hard road closure has been put in place between the B367 on Newark Lane and the B368 Send Marsh Road. Police are asking drivers to seek an alternative route whilst they deal with the on-going incident.
Due to the methods known to be used to steal ATMs a cordon is currently in place to ensure that the public are safe.
Specialist officers are on route to the scene to assist. We will provide a further update once the cordon has been lifted.
