Emergency services rushed to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in the early hours of Thursday morning after a fire destroyed two ambulances parked in the hospital’s car park.

The London Fire Brigade was called to the scene on Fulham Road, SW10, just before 4am on Thursday 17th April 2025 following reports of a vehicle engulfed in flames. Upon arrival, firefighters found two ambulances ablaze, with thick smoke and flames visible from surrounding areas.

“We were called at 3:57am to reports of a vehicle fire in the car park of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. One ambulance was completely alight. The fire was under control by 4:28am.”
