Tragic Discovery Near University of East Anglia
A body has been recovered in the desperate search for Jill Grint, 79, who vanished last Friday morning near the University of East Anglia.
Jill was last spotted around 10.30am near her Earlham home, a village on the outskirts of Norwich. Just yesterday afternoon, a body was found in the River Yare at Cringleford, about a mile south of her last confirmed sighting.

Members of the public alerted authorities after spotting the body in the river, which flows through Norfolk. Although formal identification is ongoing, Jill’s family have been notified.
Police have stated the death is not being treated as suspicious.
Last Seen with Walking Stick
Doorbell camera footage shows Jill walking close to her home on Sarah William Close, aided by a walking stick. She was reportedly wearing a blue coat, navy trousers, navy trainers, and carrying what appeared to be a yellow bag.
The search involved police dogs, drones, and a helicopter, highlighting the extensive efforts to locate her after her disappearance sparked alarm in the community.
