A fatal fire occurred on Oval Road North in Dagenham, East London, marking the third significant fire incident in the area within just over 24 hours. This series of fires has raised concerns among local residents about safety and prompted a response from London Fire Brigade officials.
Earlier, at 1:33 PM on July 26, a major fire damaged a row of terraced houses on Third Avenue, with 15 fire engines and about 100 firefighters at the scene. Following this, another fire broke out on Beam Avenue at 1:37 PM on July 27, attended by four fire engines and approximately 25 firefighters. These incidents have collectively impacted the community, causing distress and significant property damage.

Assistant Commissioner Thomas Goodall of the London Fire Brigade stated, “Following three separate fires in just over 24 hours in Dagenham, I’d like to reassure residents that the London Fire Brigade will be in the community offering support and advice where needed.” He expressed his condolences to those affected and emphasized the ongoing efforts to investigate the causes, noting that there is currently no indication that the incidents are connected.
