Four men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a violent altercation in Abbots Langley left a man injured.

Hertfordshire Police released a statement this afternoon (April 30), confirming the arrests in connection with the incident, which occurred on Friday evening (April 26) at approximately 7:35 pm in Parnell Close, Abbots Langley.

Video footage circulated showing a group brawl involving around seven individuals. One man was reportedly stabbed during the altercation and was subsequently transported to a hospital. Fortunately, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

The four men who were apprehended at the scene have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. They have since been released on bail pending further investigation.

Detective Inspector Dan Bhamra from the Three Rivers Local Crime Unit offered reassurance to the local community, stating, “This is believed to be an isolated incident, and there is not believed to be a wider risk to the public.” He also expressed gratitude to the public for their assistance in the investigation.

The East of England Ambulance Service dispatched a significant response team to the scene, including two ambulances, a rapid response vehicle, and several other emergency vehicles. An adult man was airlifted to a London hospital for treatment.

Police urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has pertinent information to come forward and assist with their inquiries. Information can be reported via the Hertfordshire Police website or by calling the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference ISR 685 of April 26.
