A tragic mystery has gripped the peaceful village of Islip, north Oxfordshire, where a young girl was found dead at her home on Tuesday. Neighbours revealed she lived with her mother and sibling in what’s known as a “close-knit” community.
Murder Investigation Launched
Police were called to a property on Middle Street, Islip, where they discovered the girl’s body. Thames Valley Police have launched a homicide investigation, but have yet to release her age. A heavy police presence remains at the scene, complete with a forensic tent and cordon.
Detective Chief Inspector Spencer assured: “We believe this incident to be contained and are not aware of any threat to the wider public at this time.”
