Large Grass Fire Erupts at Ingrebourne Hill Country Park

A large fire has broken out in East London, engulfing approximately two hectares of grass and shrubland. Crews from Ilford, Romford, East Ham, and nearby stations have been dispatched to the scene and are working diligently to contain and extinguish the fire.

Station Commander Brien O’Keeffe, who is overseeing the operation, stated, “Firefighters are making steady progress and currently doing well fighting the blaze.” However, he advised residents to take precautions due to the heavy smoke generated by the fire. “Residents are advised to keep their windows and doors closed at the moment due to the heavy smoke that’s been created,” O’Keeffe warned.

The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time, and investigations will likely commence once the situation is under control.

The London Fire Brigade continues to battle the blaze and will remain on-site until the fire is fully extinguished. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
