Massive Grass Fire Sparks Major Emergency in Rainham
Fire Blitz at Ingrebourne Hill Country Park
A huge grass fire has erupted at Ingrebourne Hill Country Park in Rainham. The London Fire Brigade has launched a massive response, sending eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters to tackle the blaze. The fire broke out at 5.44pm on Friday, quickly spreading across the park.
Two Hectares Engulfed in Flames
The fire has swept through approximately two hectares of grass and shrubland. Crews from Ilford, Romford, East Ham, and other nearby stations are battling the blaze, working tirelessly to contain it before it spreads further across East London.
Fire Chief Issues Smoke Warning to Residents
Station Commander Brien O’Keeffe, leading the operation, said, “Firefighters are making steady progress and currently doing well fighting the blaze.” He urged locals to stay safe amid heavy smoke, warning, “Residents are advised to keep their windows and doors closed at the moment due to the heavy smoke that’s been created.”
Cause Unknown as Investigations Loom
