A man accused of stabbing an 11-year-old girl eight times in a random attack in Leicester Square appeared at the Old Bailey, as questions about the trial date arose.
Ioan Pintaru, 33, is charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article following the August 12, 2024 attack. The young girl, visiting London with her mother from Australia, was allegedly grabbed in a headlock and stabbed with a steak knife while leaving the Lego store in Leicester Square.
