WOODS ATTACK Man Arrested After Grimsby Woods Rape Horror

A 28-year-old man has been arrested following a shocking rape in Grimsby’s Wybers Wood and Willows area. The attack happened around 10am on Sunday, 21 September, as a woman walked through the wooded Willows.

Victim Approached and Attacked in Wooded Area

Humberside Police revealed the woman was targeted by a man believed to be known to her. The incident was initially reported anonymously, but officers have since identified the victim as the investigation gears up.

Key Witnesses Urgently Needed

Detective Inspector Gemma Walker, leading the probe, said: “We are at a critical stage and appealing to five key witnesses who may have vital information.”

• A man and woman walking a dog
• A third woman on Mayfair Drive West who helped the victim
• A couple in a red car on Great Coates Road who assisted and dropped the victim near Dale View Street

DI Walker added: “We thank these good Samaritans and urge them to come forward. Any information, no matter how small, could be crucial.”

Police Appeal for Dashcam and CCTV Footage

Officers have been conducting house-to-house inquiries and gathering witness statements. They want anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage, to get in touch.
