A 28-year-old man has been charged with murder and aggravated burglary following a fatal stabbing in Coventry.
Police Respond to Stabbing on Aldrich Avenue
West Midlands Police were called to an address on Aldrich Avenue on Tuesday morning (18 November) after 53-year-old Anthony Priestley was found with serious injuries.
Despite emergency efforts, Anthony was pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspect Remanded in Custody
Alexander Neilson, who has no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of murder and has now been formally charged.
The 28-year-old has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Coventry Magistrates Court tomorrow (Friday).
Tributes Pour In for Victim
Anthony’s family expressed their heartbreak, saying: “Anton, we loved you so much and we cannot imagine that we’re never going to see you again. Our love for you will never end.”
His daughter added a touching tribute: “Thanks for all the lovely memories I have of you. Your loving daughter.”
