Man Charged with Murder After Fatal Coventry Stabbing
A 28-year-old man has been charged with murder following a deadly stabbing in Coventry.
Police Called to Aldrich Avenue Stabbing
West Midlands Police were called to a property on Aldrich Avenue early Tuesday morning (18 November). Officers found 53-year-old Anthony Priestley with serious stab wounds.
Despite desperate emergency efforts, Anthony was pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspect in Custody Ahead of Court Appearance
Alexander Neilson, 28, who has no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of murder. He has now been formally charged and remanded in custody.
Neilson is due to appear at Coventry Magistrates Court tomorrow (Friday).
Family Mourns Loss of Anthony Priestley
Heartbroken family members paid tribute to Anthony, saying: “Anton, we loved you so much and we cannot imagine that we’re never going to see you again. Our love for you will never end.”
His daughter added a moving message: “Thanks for all the lovely memories I have of you. Your loving daughter.”
