A man has been charged with rape, assault, and false imprisonment following an incident in Mitcham where a woman fell from a height, resulting in serious injuries.
Police were called to Mitcham Park shortly before 4 pm on Thursday, May 23, after reports that a woman had fallen from a height. Upon arrival, officers found a woman, believed to be in her 40s, with serious injuries. She was taken to the hospital, where her condition was initially assessed as life-threatening. Police have since confirmed that she remains in hospital in a stable condition.
