ised with Chemical Spray in Shocking London Station Attack

A rail worker suffered painful chemical burns and temporary blindness after being doused in a mysterious liquid during a terrifying assault at Blackfriars station, London.

Horror at Blackfriars Station

The brutal attack took place on May 17 when four men jumped off a train from Sevenoaks and stormed through the station barriers. Rail staff bravely tried to stop one of the men, who responded with abuse. The other three fled, only to return moments later.

Then, in a shocking move, one of the suspects pulled out a Lucozade Sport bottle filled with a clear chemical substance and squirted it straight into the face of a station worker.

Victim Left in Agony

  • The victim immediately felt severe pain in his eyes and temporarily lost vision.
  • Paramedics rushed him to hospital where he was treated for chemical burns to his face and eyes.
  • He now requires surgery to repair long-term damage caused by the assault.

CCTV Released as Police Launch Manhunt

The gang of four men fled Blackfriars station after the attack, but police have since released CCTV images of a man they urgently want to speak with.

British Transport Police Detective Constable Victoria Callaghan said: “This was a horrific attack that has left the victim requiring eye surgery for his long-term injuries. An investigation was launched immediately, and we now have clearer CCTV footage. If you recognise this man, please contact us.”
