A terrifying incident unfolded at the Tabu nightclub in Mayfair, London, in the early hours of Sunday morning when a group of men armed with machetes attempted to force their way into the popular venue.
Incident Details
The drama erupted on Dover Street when the group, who had been refused entry to the renowned Hawaiian-themed nightclub earlier in the evening, returned armed with large blades. Witnesses described the chaotic scenes as the men tried to charge the club’s entrance, brandishing machetes in an attempt to gain access. They had very big blades said one security worker who asked not to be named

Response and Armed Officers from the Metropolitan Police rushed to the scene after receiving reports of the disturbance. Police sources have confirmed that several arrests have been made and a number of machetes have been recovered.

A Spokesman for the Met Police Said: Police were called at 3.11am on Sunday, 30 March to a venue on Dover Street, W1 following reports of a disturbance and three people in possession of weapons. Officers attended and one man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon. Following initial enquiries, three men were arrested in Hertfordshire in the early hours of this morning in connection with this investigation. All four men remain in custody. At this time, it’s believed that this was an isolated incident. Two people sustained injuries which are not life changing.
