Aron Marin, 22, has finally been slammed behind bars following a violent outburst at the Admiral Casino in Leeds this September.

Five Years on the Run Ends in Furious Casino Smash-Up

Marin had been dodging police for nearly five years, wanted for a series of robberies and burglaries from his teenage years. But his reign ended after a savage seven-minute attack inside the Admiral Casino in Westgate.

CCTV showed Marin and two cronies being kicked out by staff after abusive behaviour. Furious, Marin grabbed a chair and went on a destructive rampage, smashing at least 10 slot machines—each worth thousands. Staff hit the panic alarm as chaos erupted.

Criminal Record From Teenage Theft to High-Value Smash and Grab

  • 2019: At just 15, Marin stole £750 cash and a pricey iPhone from a woman outside a Leeds casino.
  • 2020: Broke into staff rooms at Turtle Bay restaurant with an older accomplice.
  • September 2023: Caught nicking £900 worth of designer specs from Specsavers in Dewsbury.

Police finally arrested him in October after staff spotted him sneaking back to the casino and raised the alarm.

Caught and Jailed: Tears, Regret, and 40 Months Behind Bars

At Bradford Crown Court, Marin broke down in tears during a video link from HMP Leeds, showing genuine remorse for his crimes.

Recorder Simon Jackson KC handed down a 40-month sentence: 30 months for robbery, plus eight months for the casino destruction, and two months for the Turtle Bay burglary.

The court heard how Marin caused thousands of pounds worth of damage during the rampage, which staff described as “harrowing” and “extensive.”

From teenage thief to violent offender, Aron Marin’s crime spree has finally been stopped—locked up for just under three and a half years.
