Chaos erupted at Heathrow’s Terminal 3 multi-storey car park this morning as police raced to reports of a mass assault shortly after 8.10am on December 7.

Armed Police and Emergency Crews Descend

Armed officers, paramedics, and firefighters swarmed the scene. Several victims were found sprayed with what police suspect was pepper spray.

The injured were rushed to hospital with non-life threatening wounds.

One Man Arrested, Manhunt Underway

An armed response unit arrested a man on suspicion of assault. He remains in custody as investigations continue to track down other suspects.

Police Say Dispute Between Known Individuals

“At this stage, we believe the incident involved a group of people known to each other, with an argument escalating and resulting in a number of people being injured,” said Cmndr Peter Stevens.

Police have assured the public there is no terror threat. “Our officers responded quickly and there will be an increased police presence at Heathrow Airport throughout the morning, to continue enquiries and ensure the safety of those in the area,” added Stevens.

He urged anyone with information to contact 101 quoting CAD 1803 7 DEC.
