Police Are Appealing For Further Information After A Vehicle Collided With A Pedestrian

At around 12:30pm on Friday 4 November 2022, an 81-year-old woman was waiting to cross at a pedestrian crossing on Foundry Street near to the junction with Jefferys Drive in #Dukinfield.

At the same time, a Mercedes VITO people carrier travelling along Birch Lane crosses the junction onto Foundry Street and collided with the 81-year-old woman as she attempted to cross at the pedestrian crossing.

Emergency services attended the scene and the woman was taken to the hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The driver remained at the scene and assisted officers with enquiries. No arrests have been made.

GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam, mobile phone footage from the area in the moments leading up to the collision.
