Croydon Man Held as Police Cordon Stays Tight

A huge fight erupted near Warlingham Green last night, ending in a stabbing and sparking a major police response, including dog units. A 22-year-old Croydon man has been arrested and police have sealed off the area as investigations continue.

Chaos on Limpsfield Road

Police rushed to the scene at the end of Limpsfield Road, just over the Croydon-Surrey border, around 9.40pm on Tuesday (November 25). On arrival, officers found a victim suffering stab wounds amid reports of a large, violent brawl.

Dog units were called in to help control the scene as the victim received emergency treatment overnight. Thankfully, the injuries are not life-threatening, and the victim was discharged this morning to recover at home.

Crime Scene and Manhunt Ongoing

A cordon remains in place across Warlingham Green as forensic teams comb the area for clues. Officers are urging locals to come forward with any information or footage that could aid the investigation.

Police are holding a 22-year-old Croydon man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, carrying a bladed weapon in public, and possession of a class B drug.

Borough Commander Lyndsey Whatley said: “We understand this would have been extremely distressing for anyone who witnessed the incident. We are not looking for any other suspects and believe there is no wider risk to the public.”
