Road under Police Guard following Christmas Day Death

Sad News to report from the Isle of Wight this morning : A road on the Isle of Wight remains sealed off and under Police guard following the death of a person. Both Police and the Isle of Wight Ambulance service attended the incident just after 12am on Christmas morning. Pier Street in Ventnor remains sealed off with a large Police presence. A spokesman for Hampshire999.co.uk” title=”Hampshire”>Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police said an investigation has been launched and the next of kin of those involved have been informed. A spokesperson for Hampshire999.co.uk” title=”Hampshire”>Hampshire Police said ” An investigation has been launched after a man died following an incident in Pier Street, Ventnor. Officers were called just after midnight <a style="text-decoration:none;color: #222222" href="https://uknip.co.uk/news/uk/tag/breaking/this-has-been-transformed-by-the-way-we-now-live-our-lives-and-share-information-online-the-digital-devices-which-are-becoming-part-of-the-fabric-of-everyday-life/239267ed-trio.com/buy-levitra-online this morning (December 25) to a report that a man has been assaulted. Officers attended and sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene. An area of Pier Street has been cordoned off as part of the investigation. A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with this incident and is currently in police custody. Detective Chief Inspector Philip Scrase said: “We are in the early stages of this investigation into a man’s death, which is being treated as suspicious. “I would like anyone who has any information about what has taken place to contact us as soon as possible.” We are not in a position to confirm the identity of the deceased or any further details relating to the incident at this stage.
