Early Sunday morning chaos on the A2 has left a man fighting for his life and another arrested. Kent Police are pleading for anyone with dashcam footage or info to come forward after a nasty three-vehicle crash near Gravesend.
High-Speed Smash Involving Mercedes, BMW and Lorry
At 5:21am on 23 November 2025, a white Mercedes A45 AMG was hurtling coastbound along the A2 Watling Street. It smashed into a black BMW 1 Series, which then collided with a white Volvo HGV. The scene quickly attracted Kent Police, Fire and Ambulance crews.
Man Critical in Hospital, Suspect Arrested
The BMW driver, a 27-year-old man, was rushed to a London hospital and remains in critical condition. His family have been informed. Meanwhile, a man in his 20s was also hospitalised before being arrested for serious injury by dangerous driving and drink-driving.
He has been bailed pending further investigation.

Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is on the case but urgently needs the public’s help. They want anyone who saw the crash or the vehicles beforehand to get in touch.
