Bruno Sala Jailed for Life Over Shocking Assaults

A “sickening” rapist from Leigh Park has been handed a life sentence. Bruno Sala, 39, facing six rape charges, assault, and encouraging crimes, was locked up at Portsmouth Crown Court on Friday, 28 November 2025. The Portuguese national, previously of Middle Park Way, received a minimum 20-year term.

Sala’s crimes spanned from 2019 to 2021, targeting three women in their 40s. An intense investigation by Operation Amberstone revealed Sala met these women online, only to trap them in abusive and violent relationships. He frequently used force and drugs to dominate them, with some victims suffering repeated assaults.

Southsea Man Also Sentenced for Gruesome Abuse

Alongside Sala, a Southsea man was jailed for 15 years over “truly horrific” physical and sexual abuse inflicted on three women. The court branded the offences as shocking and condemned the brutal treatment these victims endured.
