The beloved UK hit, Only Fools and Horses, which followed the Trotter brothers’ dodgy schemes to strike rich, ran from 1981 to 2003. Now, the iconic cast is back for a treat fans won’t want to miss.
Del Boy and Rodney Return with Lost Footage
Sir David Jason, who played Derek ‘Del Boy’ Trotter, is set to reunite with co-stars including Nick Lyndhurst (Rodney), Tessa Peake-Jones (Raquel), Gwyneth Strong (Cassandra), and Sue Holderness (Marlene) for Only Fools and Horses: The Lost Archive.
The two-part special celebrates 45 years of the classic show and will offer behind-the-scenes footage and never-before-seen material “filmed but never broadcast,” says series producer Sean Doherty.
Classic Episodes and Unseen Scenes Restored in HD
- Archival clips from fan favourites like The Jolly Boys’ Outing and Mother Nature’s Son.
- Newly restored scenes from episodes including He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Uncle and Time On Our Hands.
- A special treat: an unseen nightclub opening scene featuring Del and Rodney from The Class Of ’62.
The clips have been digitally remastered from original 16mm negatives, so fans can expect sharp, high-definition images.
Cast and Producer Praise the Timeless Appeal
Sir David Jason, 85, gushed, “The love for Only Fools has never faded. It’s incredible to see how many people still hold it close to their hearts. Revisiting these rediscovered moments reminded me just how special the show was – and still is. It’s incredible to be able to share them now.”
Producer Sean Doherty added, “Few shows enjoy the kind of enduring popularity that Only Fools does. The archive has uncovered some extraordinary material – 66 unseen clips and scenes so far that were filmed but never broadcast because they didn’t fit the timing or structure of the original episodes, plus nearly 100 assets from rushes and location filming. We’ve truly been spoilt for choice.”
