A man has been rushed to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries following a serious car crash in Southwark Park Road, SE16, early this morning.

Collision and Emergency Response

Police were called at 5.02am on Friday, 20 June, to reports of a single vehicle collision. Emergency services, including the london" title="London" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="120907">London Ambulance Service, attended the scene and found one passenger seriously injured.

The individual was taken to hospital, where their condition has been described as potentially life-threatening.
A cordon remains in place on Southwark Park Road as specialist officers investigate.


Police Statement

A Met Police spokesperson said:

“Police were called at 05:02hrs on Friday, 20 June to Southwark Park Road, SE16 following a single vehicle collision.
London Ambulance Service were in attendance and one passenger of the car was taken to hospital. Their injuries are potentially life-threatening.
It’s believed that the driver of the car left the scene prior to emergency services’ arrival.
A scene remains in place and enquiries are ongoing.”


Witness Appeal

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, saw a person fleeing the scene, or has CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the collision to come forward.
