16-Year-Old Targeted at Herford Christmas Market

A shocking stabbing has left a 16-year-old boy seriously wounded at the Herford Christmas Market in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Police say the boy was knifed in the back before dragging himself a few metres to a nearby side street, close to a church, where he collapsed and begged passers-by for help.

Police Hunt Knife-Wielding Attacker

Emergency services swarmed the scene immediately after the incident. The teenager was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Detectives believe the attacker and victim knew each other, but the suspect remains at large. No details on the assailant’s identity have been released yet.

Sniffer dogs and the homicide squad from Bielefeld Police have launched a full investigation. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
