Three men have been locked up over a savage assault that left a 16-year-old boy seriously injured. The shocking attack unfolded early on 9 March 2024 near Godstone Road, Whyteleafe, Surrey.
Deadly Weapons and Dangerous Driving
The gang, armed with weapons including a deadly samurai sword, targeted two teenage boys in the early hours. Adrian Rozpara, 21, was seen brandishing a one-metre-long sword, shouting, “Where are you from?” alongside Machas Tuzizila, 29, who also carried a weapon.
The violence escalated when one victim tried to flee on his moped but was hit by a car driven by Fabion Parnell, 26. Parnell then dragged the teen down the road and ran over him again before speeding off.
Attack Was Brutal and Relentless
Next, Harvey Manley, 22, joined the assault by kicking and punching the injured boy to unconsciousness. He then robbed the victim of his coat before fleeing. Tuzizila tried to step in but was powerless to stop the violence.
Justice Served at Guildford Crown Court
- Fabion Parnell pleaded guilty to attempted grievous bodily harm, dangerous driving, and driving whilst disqualified. He was sentenced to eight years and three months behind bars.
- Harvey Manley pled guilty to robbery and affray, receiving a three year and nine-month sentence. He was freed at court due to time served since his March 2024 arrest.
- Adrian Rozpara got a two-year suspended sentence plus community service for threatening with an offensive weapon and affray.
- Machas Tuzizila was jailed for 10 months last year for possession of an offensive weapon and handling stolen goods linked to the attack.
Surrey Police teamed up with the Metropolitan Police in a swift manhunt. Manley was arrested within two days, while Parnell, Tuzizila, and Rozpara were all caught by April 2024. They faced charges on the day they were nabbed.
This violent episode shows a chilling level of brutality on the streets of Surrey, but swift police action and heavy sentences send a strong message to would-be offenders.
