Two men have been arrested after a police pursuit through Tottenham in the early hours of this morning ended in a crash.
At around 03:40hrs, officers on patrol attempted to stop a vehicle on Phillip Lane, N17. The car failed to stop and was pursued to West Green Road, where it collided with a roundabout on Downhills Park Road and a metal gate.
Officers removed the occupants from the vehicle, and both men were taken to hospital by paramedics. Their injuries were not life-threatening, and they have since been discharged.
The 46-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of multiple traffic offences and handling stolen goods. A 50-year-old passenger, found to have previously failed to appear at court, was also arrested. Both remain in police custody.
A third man, aged 40, was treated at the scene by paramedics and released with no further action.
The road was reopened at around 09:30hrs and enquiries are ongoing.
