In a shocking incident that unfolded during the hustle and bustle of London’s rush hour traffic, a van driver was caught watching explicit adult content on his phone and allegedly pleasuring himself while behind the wheel. The incident, captured on video and shared on social media, has sparked outrage and led to the driver’s suspension and subsequent sacking.
The video, lasting one minute and 26 seconds, was uploaded by a cyclist named Greg N. In the footage, the cyclist can be seen navigating through traffic on a busy London street before encountering the van. Approaching the driver’s side window, the cyclist was taken aback as he witnessed the van driver watching explicit material on his phone while allegedly engaging in an inappropriate act.
The cyclist exclaimed, “How’s that? Watching videos, no idea – f***ing hell,” as the van sped away, with the cyclist in pursuit. It was during the second encounter with the van that the cyclist finally confirmed what the driver was watching and doing.
Amid his astonishment, the cyclist commented, “He’s watching porn, driving around watching porn – you’re fing kidding me. He’s having a wk as well, you’re fing kidding me. Jesus Christ. What chance have we got as fking, fking, what . . . what a dk head.”
The video, which has garnered more than 250,000 views on social media, prompted a flurry of reactions on Twitter. Many users expressed their disbelief at the driver’s behaviour, with some highlighting the danger it posed to other road users. Several users tagged the Metropolitan Police in their comments, although the police have yet to respond to the situation.
Custom Intelligent Security, the company that employed the van driver, swiftly suspended him pending an “urgent investigation” into the incident. Shortly thereafter, the company announced that the driver had been sacked, citing the severity of his actions as the reason for his termination.
